User interface and user experience design for the game
Play Of Battle – Systemic War

Over the last two years, I have been responsible for the UI and UX design of the strategy game Play of Battle – Systemic War. This project is especially important to me because I single-handedly created the complete user interface for a large-scale title with a highly complex gameplay structure.
The game combines mechanics known from real-time strategy (RTS) and grand strategy titles such as Hearts of Iron or Broken Arrow: an extensive economy simulation, multi-layered political decision-making, resource management, and dynamic military operations. Designing a UI that could support such depth required wireframing, prototyping, and a strong focus on player experience to ensure clarity and accessibility without sacrificing complexity.

The game is now steadily approaching its demo release stage. The Figma mockups presented here are therefore not the final version; they serve as a showcase of my design process and highlight the scale and complexity of the project.

Play of Battle – Systemic War draws strong inspiration from major strategy games such as Hearts of Iron by Paradox Interactive and Broken Arrow. My goal was to design a user interface that captures the depth and complexity of these grand strategy and real-time strategy (RTS) titles, while remaining intuitive and accessible for players.
