UI/UX for Total Tanks Generals game
As an UI designer for games, I often get to create interfaces with intricate decorations and visually stunning graphics that require the skills of an artist, craftsman, and occasionally a UX designer. However, for this particular game, my focus was on enhancing the user experience. The UI needed to be straightforward and universally understandable.
In designing the UI/UX for Total Tanks Generals, I took full advantage of Figma's capabilities.
The UI graphics were so minimalist that, with few exceptions, there was no need to use typical tools such as Photoshop.
A clear and simple UI and UX are crucial components of any strategic video game. In a genre where players are required to make complex decisions and manage various resources, a well-designed interface can make all the difference between a smooth and enjoyable gameplay experience, or a frustrating and confusing one.
First and foremost, the UI should be easy to navigate and visually appealing. Players should be able to access all necessary information and controls quickly and without confusion. A good strategy game UI should be designed with the player in mind and should aim to minimize cognitive load as much as possible.
